Staff Software Engineer

You are a technical lead who will help shape the future of Zinnia's infrastructure. You will work closely with other teams to drive impact, mentor engineers, and contribute to building best-in-class core systems that support our mission and business objectives.

What You'll Do:

• Drive Innovation:
• Deliver impact by driving innovation and building software solutions at scale, focused on operational excellence and long-term success.
• Architectural Leadership:
• Provide architectural guidance and mentorship to engineering teams, up-leveling the organization's technical capabilities and ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Set Technical Standards:
• Develop and define best strategies and practices for software craftsmanship, ensuring that the team maintains high standards for quality and performance.
• Tech Lead for Key Initiatives:
• Function as the tech lead on key initiatives, driving the architecture, design, and implementation of systems that align with business objectives.
• Collaborate Across Teams:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams within the organization and with customers to execute on long-term infrastructure goals and ensure success.
• Platform-First Approach:
• Always maintain a platform-first mindset when designing products and services to ensure scalability and sustainability in the long term.

What You'll Need:

• Education:
• BS/BE in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent technical experience.
• Experience:
• 8+ years of experience in software design, development, and algorithm solutions.
• 5+ years of experience programming in object-oriented languages such as

  C#

  ,

  Typescript

  , or similar.
• 2+ years of experience in a

  technical leadership

  or

  architect

  role, driving key technical initiatives and mentoring teams.
• Hands-on experience developing

  large-scale distributed systems

  and

  databases

  .
• Proficiency with

  cloud platforms

  , preferably

  AWS

  .

Preferred Qualifications:

Education:

• MS or PhD in Computer Science

  or a related technical discipline.

Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in software design

  ,

  development

  , and

  algorithmic solutions

• 7+ years of experience in an

  object-oriented programming language

  such as

  C#

  or

  Typescript

  .
• 5+ years of experience working with

  large-scale distributed systems

  and

  client-server architectures

  .
• Experience architecting and designing

  data infrastructure
