Sr PCB Design Engineer

You will join the PCB design team at Discrete Circuits Pvt. Ltd. as an Assistant PCB Design Engineer. In this role, you will collaborate with senior engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to develop and implement printed circuit board (PCB) layouts for various products. Your responsibilities will include: - Assisting in designing and laying out PCBs using CAD software like Altium Designer, Eagle, or KiCad under the guidance of senior engineers and designers. - Collaborating with hardware engineers to understand design requirements, constraints, and specifications for PCB layouts. - Participating in schematic capture, component placement, and routing of PCBs while following industry standards and best practices. - Conducting design reviews to ensure compliance with design guidelines, electrical performance criteria, and manufacturability requirements. - Supporting testing and validation of PCB prototypes, troubleshooting issues, and making design modifications as necessary. - Generating and maintaining documentation including PCB schematics, layout files, assembly drawings, and bill of materials (BOM) for manufacturing and assembly processes. - Assisting in selecting and procuring electronic components by working closely with vendors and suppliers. Qualifications required for this role include: - Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. - 5-7 years of previous internship or work experience in PCB design, electronics design, or related roles. - Proficiency in CAD software for PCB design such as Altium Designer, Eagle, or KiCad. - Strong understanding of PCB layout principles, signal integrity, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) considerations. - Knowledge of industry standards and regulations governing PCB design and manufacturing processes (e.g., IPC standards). - Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality work. - Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. - Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment. - Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and methodologies in PCB design and engineering.
