Description
Position: Sr Manager Transmission & Distribution Reporting To : Head Projects Job Location: Gurgaon Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in the Transmission & Distribution industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity, overseeing the construction of substations and transmission lines at 132kV levels/ above. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering. A Master's degree is preferred. Role Description- Lead the T&D division of Projects, oversee the planning, execution, and completion of Transmission & Distribution projects, including substations and transmission lines at 132kV / 220kV levels across multiple sites. Manage and coordinate with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure smooth project progress and timely completion while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations, codes, standards, and best practices. Project Management- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets. Regularly monitor and report on project status to senior management. Manage project risks and issues, develop mitigation plans, and ensure effective communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders. Site Supervision- Conduct site visits to oversee construction activities, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to project specifications and timelines. Provide technical expertise and guidance to the site execution team. Procurement & Supply Chain- Coordinate with the Supply Chain team for project procurement activities, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and management of subcontractors. Documentation and Reporting- Ensure all project documentation, including technical specifications, drawings, and reports, are maintained in an organized and accessible manner. Project Management Skills- Proven track record of successfully managing complex Transmission & Distribution (T&D) projects across multiple states in India. Technical expertise- Clear understanding of equipment and engineering drawings related to T&D projects. Ability to coordinate with various teams and vendors involved in project execution, ensuring alignment with project specifications and requirements. Knowledge of T&D Systems- Strong understanding of Transmission & Distribution systems, equipment, technologies, and industry best practices. Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements related to T&D projects. Leadership and Communication- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to e ectively liaise with internal teams, stakeholders, and vendors. Demonstrated leadership abilities to lead and motivate project teams towards achieving project objectives. Independence and Adaptability- Capacity to work independently and take ownership of project tasks and responsibilities. Adaptability to changing project requirements and priorities, while maintaining focus on project goals Proficiency in Tools and Software- Proficiency in project management software and tools to effectively plan, monitor, and manage project activities and resources.
