Job Description

This role is responsible for planning and coordinating production activities in the shipyard, especially for block construction and outfitting. You’ll make sure work is scheduled properly, tracked regularly, and completed on time, within budget, and with good quality. You’ll work closely with teams from Production, Engineering, Procurement, and Project Management to keep everything running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning

  • Create and update detailed production schedules.
  • Include engineering inputs, material availability, and manpower plans.
  • Help with short-term and long-term production forecasts.

Progress Tracking

  • Monitor project progress and flag delays or risks.
  • Hold regular meetings to review progress and fix issues.
  • Prepare dashboards and performance reports.

Coordination

  • Work with Production, Engineering, Procurement, and QA/QC teams to align work.
  • Ensure materials and equipment are available on time.
  • Help plan manpower and equipment usage.

Quality & Safety

  • Make sure plans include quality checks and safety standards.
  • Work with QA/QC and HSE teams to include inspection and safety steps in schedules.

Process Improvement

  • Support use of ERP and digital tools for planning.
  • Help reduce cycle times and improve productivity.
  • Standardize planning formats and processes.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Share updates with AGM – Control Planning and Head of Production.
  • Analyze data to find ways to improve efficiency and resource use.

Financial Authority

  • As per company’s Delegation of Authority (DOA) policy.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Marine, Production Engineering, or Naval Architecture.
  • Master’s degree or certification in Project Management or Operations is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Primavera, MS Project, or ERP systems is helpful.

Experience

  • 10–15 years in production planning or project coordination in shipbuilding or heavy engineering.
  • Experience managing large fabrication projects.
  • Skilled in planning tools and dashboards.
  • Strong understanding of shipyard operations and outfitting.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
