Job Description

Role Overview: As a Procurement Specialist / Sr. Manager - Information Technology (IT) at Meril, your primary responsibility will be to acquire technology solutions to support the organization's IT infrastructure and operations. You will play a crucial role in procuring hardware, software, networking, cybersecurity solutions, cloud services, and IT consulting/professional services. Staying updated with IT market trends and collaborating with IT stakeholders to understand requirements will also be key aspects of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Procuring hardware (e.g., servers, laptops, desktops), software (e.g., licenses, subscriptions), networking, telecommunications, cybersecurity solutions, cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), and IT consulting/professional services. - Staying up-to-date with IT market trends and technologies. - Collaborating with IT stakeholders to understand requirements. - Evaluating technical specifications and vendor capabilities. - Sourcing and evaluating IT vendors and service providers. - Conducting Request for Proposal (RFP) processes for IT goods and services. - Negotiating contracts and pricing for IT purchases. - Ensuring contract compliance and adherence. - Managing contract renewals and terminations. - Coordinating with legal and finance teams for maintaining accurate contract records. - Coordinating with IT vendors and service providers for timely delivery of IT goods and services. - Managing vendor performance and quality. - Resolving disputes or issues with vendors. - Conducting vendor audits and due diligence. - Identifying and mitigating IT procurement risks. - Conducting risk assessments and due diligence. - Developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies. - Monitoring and reporting on risk exposure. - Ensuring compliance with organizational procurement policies and procedures. - Conducting total cost of ownership (TCO) analyses. - Managing IT budget & forecasting for effectively managing procurement expenses. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, business, or a related field. - Certified Procurement Professional (CPP). - Certified Information Technology Procurement Specialist (CITPS). - Certified Technology Procurement Specialist (CTPS).
