Job Description:Regional Security Head, being responsible for managing & controlling the security of multi-location geography, he/she will be responsible for providing timely and accurate security advice, reliable intelligence, information, analysis, developing cost-effective security plans, security risk management and dedicating time to crisis management responsibilities.
The role also includes responsibility for assisting in the implementation of the security standards and guidelines for security alignment/ standardization with all other locations within the region and in sync with other regions of the country.RSMs also assist in conducting internal investigations when directed and liaise with external agencies (law enforcement) as required to meet business requirements.RSMs are required to proactively provide vital inputs relating to safe and secure operations on the ground at his/her location. Additionally, the RSMs also manage the functions capital & operating budget to conduct and coordinate day-to-day as well as special projects of security operational activities- including upgradation projects, policy revisions, etc.Team Management, handling a large team of outsourced manpower spread across multiple locations from the perspective of governing their deliverables, meeting standards of TATA Code of conduct, statutory & legal compliance, safety standards and general discipline, etc,
Key Focus Areas :
1) Assist Corporate Head Security to ensure high-quality security management services to directly & indirectly support business operations, processes, and procedures to contribute to the business growth, revenue, and profit for the respective regional area of responsibility.2) Take ownership of the successful management of security, safety, fire safety & compliance of all the operational processes within the regional jurisdiction of this role in PSS function.3) Direct and enforce best-in-class security standards aimed at achieving organizational security objectives in synchronization with the company imperatives and overall goal.3) Ensure reduction of business risk using value-based security management principles, risk-based approach, and risk management principles for the region.4) Ensure the comprehensive security & safety of the company's assets, personnel, and operations across a diverse and expansive region. 5) This role is pivotal in developing and executing robust security strategies, identifying and mitigating potential risks, and implementing measures to prevent and reduce losses.6) Lead critical security projects, ensure stringent compliance with regulatory standards, and foster a culture of security awareness and capability development.7) Additionally, the role involves leading thorough investigations, managing contracts and manned guarding operations, liaising with local statutory and emergency authorities, and continuously enhancing the security posture to align with the dynamic needs of the business.8) Regional CAPEX, OPEX management.
Other knowledge/skills1) Comprehensive expertise in security risk assessment and mitigation techniques.
2) Proficient in security automation, including organizing, evaluating, and managing security equipment such as CCTV, access control systems, alarm systems, and monitoring alarms with remote CCTV operations.3) Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to stay updated on security best practices, monitor statutory developments, and evaluate emerging trends in security domain excellent verbal, written communication, and analytical abilities.4) Experience in managing security systems, conducting independent risk audits, and leading investigations.5) Expertise in emergency response management, including collaboration across all staff levels and organizing training programs.6) Working knowledge of site safety management, including handling safety audits effectively.) Excellent liaison capabilities with government agencies such as the Police, Fire Department, and statutory authorities ( PESO, etc.).9) Certifications: Knowledge of security frameworks and professional certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP) from recognized organizations is preferred.
Audits, Governance & Compliance:
1) Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, ISO 22301, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, TL 9001, SOC2 and other applicable certifications.
2) Lead and support regional and national internal/external audits, ensuring closure of non-conformities within timelines.3) Partner with HR, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure vendor, manpower, and statutory compliance with labour and security regulations.4) Maintain and standardize documentation, reports, and audit artifacts for easy traceability and governance.
Training & Development, Fire Drills, Mock Drills, Tabletop Exercises:
1) Ensure adherence to Annual Training Calendar and conduct regular awareness & training programs for guards on physical and information security, workplace safety, fire safety, emergency preparedness, POSH.
2) Lead engagement initiatives in the region to enhance security culture across all levels of the organization.3) Facilitate structured training sessions for security staff, emergency response teams, and internal stakeholders on crisis response (periodic ERT Team training) and preventive security.4) Develop and implement competency-building programs to prepare the team for evolving threats in the corporate and critical communication/data centre landscape.5) Implement structured training programs covering security operations, emergency response, fire safety, and awareness for all employees within the region.6) Drive security culture and awareness initiatives including information security, workplace safety, and personal safety campaigns.
