Responsibilities: Lead and mentor two junior offshore DevOps team members, providing technical guidance and fostering their growth in Kubernetes, deployment methods and related technologies.

Engineer, manage and improve integrations on our Kubernetes cluster with a focus on applications that further automate and enhance support, improve connectivity options and reduces toil.

Manage application deployment configurations using using Helm and Skaffold in a GitOps-driven environment, ensuring smooth and efficient development workflows.

Monitor Kubernetes clusters for problem events using metrics and events produced by applications/platforms running on our Kubernetes instances.

Administer and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters, including handling complex networking, security configurations, and scaling.

Assist client operations support teams as they support developers deploying and operating Kubernetes-based applications on our infrastructure.

Manage role-based access control (RBAC) and role bindings configurations which is integrated with our Active Directory solution via Google and Azure auth connectors to our Kubernetes platform.

Support infrastructure configuration and management using Bash and/or Python scripting. Manage internal code and architecture reviews, ensuring high standards of performance, scalability, and security.

Stay current with Kubernetes trends and advancements to continuously improve processes and guide team development.

Qualifications:

Strong experience in Kubernetes administration and managing production-grade clusters with complex configurations.

Expertise in Kubernetes network technologies, especially Istio Service Mesh or ASM, and the integration of microservices.

Proficiency in using Helm and Skaffold for managing Kubernetes deployments. Solid understanding of RBAC, role bindings, and secure application deployments in Kubernetes environments.

Skilled in Bash or Python scripting for automation and management of infrastructure.

Demonstrated ability to support and troubleshooting running Kubernetes deployments and pipelines.

Prior experience leading or mentoring DevOps engineers in a collaborative environment.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for resolving issues within Kubernetes environments. Excellent communication skills, with a focus on team development and cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Skills: Experience with Anthos or Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack. Experience with GitOps tools like ArgoCD or FluxCD.

Application developer or support experience in complex cloud environments with an ability to write, troubleshoot and support complex applications, scripts and programs.
