Sr. Inventory Executive

Strategic Inventory Management:

• Develop and implement strategic inventory management policies, procedures, and controls aligned with business goals.

• Proactively identify and address potential inventory risks and opportunities.

• Contribute to the development of long-term inventory planning strategies.

Advanced Inventory Control and Accuracy:

• Oversee and refine cycle count and physical inventory processes to ensure exceptional accuracy.

• Lead investigations into complex inventory discrepancies, implement robust corrective and preventative actions.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy and reduce losses.

• Ensure meticulous maintenance of inventory records within the WMS or other tracking systems.

Warehouse Optimization and Flow Leadership:

• Take a leading role in optimizing warehouse layout, storage strategies, and material flow to maximize efficiency and minimize handling.

• Identify and implement improvements to inventory receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping processes.

Advanced Reporting and Analysis:

• Develop and generate sophisticated inventory reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Conduct in-depth analysis of inventory data to identify trends, root causes of inefficiencies, and opportunities for significant cost savings.

• Present data-driven insights and recommendations to senior management.

Team Leadership and Mentorship:

• Potentially lead and mentor a team of inventory control staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.

• Foster a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the inventory team.

• Delegate tasks effectively and ensure team accountability.

Compliance, Audit, and Process Improvement:

• Ensure strict adherence to all relevant safety regulations, company policies, and audit requirements related to inventory management.

• Lead internal and external inventory audits and implement recommendations.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all inventory-related processes.

System Expertise and Implementation:

• Serve as a subject matter expert for the warehouse management system (WMS) and other inventory tracking tools.

• Lead or actively participate in the implementation of new inventory management systems or upgrades.

• Troubleshoot complex system issues and collaborate effectively with IT.
