Summary:

The successful candidate is responsible for driving financial discipline and operational efficiency at the plant. The person will be responsible for accurate cost tracking, reporting, and compliance to support smooth plant operations. The role is hands-on, focusing on daily financial controls, variance analysis, and providing timely support to the plant team for efficient decision-making,

  • Financial Planning and Analysis:

    • Help in develop and manage the plant's AOP and rolling forecast.
    • Analyse variances to budget, forecast and previous years identifying opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.
    • Prepare regular financial reports and presentations for plant management and corporate finance.
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance:

    • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
    • General Ledger reconciliation, Identification SL-GL gaps and ensuring the closure of open points within stated timeline
  • Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) Management:

    • Support the plant's capital expenditure projects, from initial planning and budgeting to implementation and post -implementation review.
    • Ensure compliance with company capital expenditure policies and procedures.
  • Inventory Management:

    • Collaborate with plant operations to optimize inventory control processes.
    • Analyse the Usage, Price and Mix Inventory variances against budget and forecast
  • Internal Controls:

    • Maintain and strengthen the plant's internal control environment, ensuring compliance with relevant controls.
    • Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and information
    • Maintain and improve the plant's financial systems and processes. Collaborate with IT to ensure the effective use of financial software and systems.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration:

    • Work closely with plant management, operations, and other departments to provide financial support and guidance. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
    • Identify and implement opportunities to improve the plant's financial performance and operational efficiency. Stay current on best practices in plant finance and cost accounting.

Qualifications:

  • CMA/ICWA
  • 3-4 years of experience in plant finance for a manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
