Job Profile:

• Responsible for reliable operation, preventive care and regulatory-compliant upkeep of all R&D engineering systems, equipment and utilities at the R&D Centre. The role ensures smooth operation R&D Centre & drives continuous improvement, safety and cost-effective maintenance practices in a GLP environment.
• Plan & Executive preventive & predictive maintenance of various analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV.
• Plan & Executive preventive & predictive maintenance of R&D Engineering Utilities: HVAC, Water System & Water System Piping, AHU, DX Unit, Refrigeration, Air Conditioning System & Air Compressor.
• Predominantly working on-site at the R&D Centre with regular coordination meetings with R&D scientists, QA and procurement.
• Responsible for routine maintenance, filter cleaning & filter replacement of HVAC / AHU, RLAF, Table Top VLAF, Biosafety cabinet and pass boxes.
• To Co-ordinate with various equipment manufacturers / vendors for AMC activity.
• Maintenance of all electrical connections of all utilities in R&D Centre.
• Responsible for the preventive maintenance activities to be conducted on time and as per schedule.
• Responsible for preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems, pumps, pipelines, and water utilities.
• Responsible for all maintenance activities of machinery and utilities and their corrective and preventive maintenance, planning for spares procurement etc.
• Troubleshoot faults, ensure uninterrupted supply of power and water, and respond quickly to equipment failures.
• Oiling and cleaning of machinery and parts.
• Overhauling and replacing parts according to schedule.
• Responding immediately to equipment and machinery breakdowns.
• Preparation of SOP related to engineering maintenance.
• Preparation of IQ / OQ / PQ engineering maintenance documents.
• Provide engineering input and documentation support for audits and inspections.
• Respond to breakdowns and perform root cause analysis (RCA) to minimise downtime; implement corrective actions.
• Organizing routine servicing schedules.
• Maintain records, follow safety standards, and coordinate with contractors when major repairs or installations are required.
• To manage and analysis on Consumption of water & electricity.
• Train junior maintenance staff and technicians; raise skill levels within the team.

Desired Profile:

• ITI / Diploma / BE (Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics) with 3 to 5 years of experience with Pharmaceutical.
• Exposure to automation and product testing is the sweet spot with experience with Pharmaceutical R&D Centre.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills (mechanical, rotating equipment, piping & instrumentation).
• Good understanding of GLP requirements, technical documentation and calibration discipline.
• Project coordination and vendor management capability.
• Analytical mind set able to perform RCA and implement robust corrective actions.
• Effective communicator can write clear SOPs, maintenance reports and influence cross-functional teams.
• Attention to safety, quality and detail.
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities; flexible for on-call support.
