Job Description

 
The Sr. D&T Engineer ServiceNow is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable solutions that enable and enhance ITSM and HR processes on the ServiceNow platform. This role ensures seamless integration of internal and external information sources, leveraging modern technologies to drive automation, efficiency, and process improvements across the enterprise. By aligning process design with technology architecture and core enterprise data, the Sr. Engineer delivers end-to-end solutions that strengthen business operations, support strategic decision-making, and maximize the value of the ServiceNow platform for the organization.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Lead the design, development, and configuration of ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, HRSD, Facilities, and other enterprise modules, ensuring scalable and high-performing implementations.
Design and develop new application modules, workflows, and automation capabilities using agile (scrum-based) methodologies to meet evolving business needs.
Develop and maintain robust integrations with external systems leveraging REST APIs, Web Services, Import Sets, Scripted APIs, and MID Server technologies.
Provide deep technical expertise in Flow Designer, Service Catalog, ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, Automation, Employee Service Center, and Event Management to enhance platform capabilities.
Partner closely with Solution Managers, Process Owners and Business Stakeholders to refine backlog priorities, analyse user stories, and translate requirements into effective design and technical specifications.
Ensure custom enhancements adhere to coding standards, architectural guidelines, and ServiceNow best practices, while driving continuous improvement in solution quality.
Support platform upgrades, clones, and patching activities, ensuring stability, compatibility, and minimal business disruption.
Actively contribute to code reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentoring within the team to build engineering excellence.
Support Incident and Change Management processes, including advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex issues.
Research, evaluate, and implement proof-of-concepts for emerging ServiceNow functionalities, bringing forward innovative solutions to expand platform value.
Mentor other developers with knowledge sharing and training opportunities.
Create Technical Documentations as and when required.
