The Digital and Technology team at General Mills stands as the largest and foremost unit, dedicated to exploring the latest trends and innovations in technology while leading the adoption of cutting-edge technologies across the organization. Purpose of the role

This is an exciting time to work in General Mills Solutions Delivery organization!

We are accelerating the Digital Transformation of our Supply Chain operations to provide a competitive advantage to our business. General Mills is seeking a Supply Chain Systems Expert to join our Supply Chain Logistics Operations team providing new capabilities and systems support to General Mills Supply Chain business partners. Team members provide important leadership in connecting supply chain processes (Plan, Source, Make, Deliver) across IT and business teams to ensure end to end processes align with business strategy and deliver against business objectives.

This role will primarily provide SAP TM technical expertise to support and accelerate the North American logistics operations processes.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

. Apply knowledge of planning and logistics processes to design, build, optimize and support solutions in the areas of SAP workflow, SAP TM & EDI.

. Work closely with business and IT stakeholders and external service providers on a wide range of topics that require technical expertise, including business requirements analysis, issue troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, business process optimization, integration topics, cross-functional projects, end-user training, translating requirements into technical solutions, and providing cost-benefit analysis and estimates.

. Develop close partnership with business users to truly understand needs, connect with other team members to facilitate technical conversations to ensure end-to-end solution optimization.

. Help to manage the D&T team's catalog of test scripts and lead end user testing efforts for major projects.

. Prepare training materials and proactively facilitate knowledge transfer and user adoption of new and existing solutions.

. Carry out assigned activities during system releases, system upgrades and the application of SAP TM Hot Packs and system fixes.

. Desire to understand the integration points with other modules and appreciation of overall SAP software architecture.

. Proven track record of developing business partnerships and designing technical solutions in a dynamic and iterative environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Full-time Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in technology delivery, with 7+ years in logistics and supply chain systems in SAP
  • Proven hands-on Implementation/Business support experience with logistics platforms like SAP TM
  • Strong understanding of Logistics processes and SAP S/4 TM
  • Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in Agile teams, DevOps, and cloud environments like GCP or Azure.
  • Team player, self-driven individual.
  • Data integration experience
  • Prior CPG experience preferred

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Expert Level

  • SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM) - full configuration: freight planning, charge calculation, carrier selection, settlement
  • Deep integration experience with SAP ERP, EDI, IDOCs, and RFCs
  • Expertise in BN4L (Business Network for Logistics) setup, integration, and live tendering processes
  • Advanced knowledge of Track & Trace platforms, including visibility layers and exception management
  • Leadership in SAP TM upgrades, Hot Pack application, and solutioning across modules
  • Strong understanding of North America transportation business processes
  • Hands-on configuration and debugging in TM + strong ABAP familiarity
  • End-to-end solution delivery: requirements, design, build, UAT, and deployment

Intermediate Level

  • SAP SD functional exposure - order-to-cash integration with logistics
  • SAP WM/QM/LE - basic config and process flow understanding
  • Familiarity with BN4L tendering exceptions and carrier collaboration
  • Use of Track & Trace dashboards for shipment milestone and event tracking
  • Involvement in SAP TM testing, defect triage, and data migration
  • Comfortable with data flows between TM, ERP, and external logistics systems
  • Moderate experience with Fiori apps and UI5 interfaces
  • Good understanding of freight audit, invoice matching, and rate structures

Basic Level

  • Awareness of SAP HANA views and reporting tools
  • Exposure to transportation terms (e.g., freight order, shipment, carrier, tenders)
  • Understands basic SAP process flow from planning to delivery
  • Has seen or used Track & Trace systems for live visibility
  • Familiar with BN4L as a concept (cloud-based logistics network)
  • Can assist in documentation, user training, and support
  • Willingness to learn ABAP debugging, interface logs, and SAP TM workflows
