Sr. Database Administrator

As an experienced database administrator, your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - Installation, upgradation, patching, and environment setup of Oracle (Oracle 9i, 10g and 11g) / MySQL databases. - Sound knowledge and application of Oracle / MySQL fundamentals. - Implementation and management of various types of backups and recoveries. - Troubleshooting any Oracle / MySQL related issues. - Formulating high-performance normalized databases with correct indexes, partitioning, etc. - Handling and managing large databases efficiently. - Developing and implementing Oracle stored procedures and functions. - Designing and implementing database development, preferably Oracle / MySQL, along with related technologies, applications, and processes. - Utilizing software development tools effectively. - Performing data architecture design, database design, data analysis, and data modeling. - Conducting database and SQL performance tuning. - Proficiency in PL SQL, SQL Plus, Discover, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and TOAD. - Understanding of Oracle RAC (Real Application Cluster) and system integration for performance analysis. - Thriving in a fast-paced, multitasking, and results-focused environment. - Utilizing strong interpersonal, analytical, and logical skills. Qualifications Required for this position include: - B. Tech./ B.E., M. Tech/M.E. in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent). - 4-5 years of first-hand experience in database administration. - Oracle / MySQL Certification is preferred.
