Sr. Counselor Trainer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate female Senior Counselor to lead both community outreach efforts and training of hospital staff. This role is ideal for a candidate who is deeply committed to patient education, community service, and clinical capacity building within an eye care setting.

Key Responsibilities Community Counseling & Outreach

• Provide patient counseling in community eye camps and outreach programs, especially for procedures such as cataract surgery, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and refractive errors.
• Promote awareness about eye health and available treatments in rural and underserved populations.
• Coordinate with outreach teams to ensure effective patient follow-up and conversion for surgical or hospital-based care.
• Establish a strong rapport with community leaders and local health workers to strengthen outreach impact.

Training & Development of Hospital Staff

• Train and mentor new and existing clinical support staff, including vision technicians, optometrists, and counselors.
• Conduct orientation programs, skill development workshops, and refresher training sessions.
• Monitor staff performance and adherence to clinical protocols, patient handling standards, and ethical practices.
• Develop and update internal training modules aligned with hospital goals and national eye care guidelines.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Optometry or relevant qualification in vision science or health counseling.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience, with at least 2 years in a senior counseling or training role.
• Proven ability to train clinical staff and work in community-focused eye care programs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to connect with patients from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
• Fluency in English and local language(s) is essential.
• A patient-focused, empathetic, and leadership-oriented mindset.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹29,263.94 - ₹35,517.66 per month
