Job Description

Job Title:

Position Overview:

US Accounting

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage client accountants handling US-based clients and accounting processes.
Process day-to-day accounting activities including AP, AR, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions in
QuickBooks Online (QBO)
.
Review and prepare
Sales Tax filings
across multiple US states in compliance with applicable tax laws.
Act as a point of contact for escalations and resolve complex accounting or system issues.
Provide coaching, guidance, and regular feedback to team members to support performance and development.
Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables and SLAs are met.
Prepare financial reports, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for management and audit requirements.
Assist in streamlining and improving accounting systems and processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance.
4+ years of relevant experience in
US accounting
.
Proficient in
QuickBooks Online (QBO)
certification is a plus.
Strong understanding of
US Sales Tax regulations
and filing processes.
Excellent
written and verbal communication skills
; able to interact confidently with US clients.
Hands-on experience with reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with clients in multiple US states or industries (e.g., eCommerce, SaaS, retail).
Familiarity with other accounting platforms (e.g., Xero, NetSuite) is a bonus.
Previous BPO or outsourcing firm experience handling US accounting work.
