Sr. Azure Architect

Responsible for

• Managing and deploying Azure solutions
• Troubleshooting and resolving Azure services-related issues
• Configuring Azure services to meet the needs of the organization
• Designing and managing swap space in the cloud environment
• Maintaining azure profiles and subscriptions
• Setting up private and public cloud environments
• Balancing and deploying workloads
• Implementing and managing cost-effective cloud systems

Key Responsibilities:

• Azure Infrastructure Management:
• Design, implement, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Monitor and optimize the performance, availability, and scalability of Azure environments.
• Automate deployment, monitoring, and management tasks using Azure DevOps, PowerShell, ARM templates, and other scripting tools.

Security and Compliance:

• Implement and manage security policies and practices to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Monitor security alerts and respond to potential threats in a timely manner.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Backup and Disaster Recovery:

• Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans.
• Ensure regular testing and validation of backup and recovery procedures.
• Manage and monitor Azure Site Recovery and Azure Backup services.

Cost Management:

• Monitor and manage cloud expenditures to optimize costs.
• Provide recommendations for cost-saving measures and resource optimization.

Collaboration and Support:

• Collaborate with development, operations, and other cross-functional teams to support application deployments and infrastructure improvements.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve cloud infrastructure issues.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.
• Generate regular reports on system performance, security, and compliance status.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in managing and optimizing Azure services (VMs, App Services, Azure SQL, Storage Accounts, etc.).
• Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Azure CLI).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (ARM templates, Terraform).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines).
• Knowledge of networking principles and security best practices.

Leadership Skills

• Manage, Guide and Help the IT and infrastructure teams
• Coordinate with senior executives and product owners for strategizing the cloud deployments across the organization
• Manage architectural administrative activities
