Job Description

Core Educational Qualifications

Minimum: Bachelors Degree in Commerce (B. Com) or Finance/Accounting.

Preferred: CA (Chartered Accountant), CMA (Cost and Management Accountant), or equivalent post-graduate finance qualification.

Desirable: Additional certifications such as CWA, CS (Company Secretary), or an MBA in Finance for broader exposure and management interface.

Professional Experience

At least 5-8 years of relevant experience in accounting, taxation, and compliance, preferablyin real estate.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY

A. Accounts

  • Finalisation of books of accounts for the parent company, group companies and individuals.
  • Day to day monitoring accounting entries.
  • Preparing Quarterly, Half yearly and yearly financial statements like, balance sheet, profit &loss account, cash flow statements etc.
  • Checking and vouching the payments made by the company.
  • Making sure that all the supportings are attached with the invoice as required to be kept under law.

B. Taxation

  • Preparing Advance Tax calculations.
  • Making sure that all the statutory returns are filed in time. Returns have to be filed for Income
  • Tax, GST, TDS, RERA, PT, PF, ESIC and any others returns as may be specified from time to time.
  • Checking for the data to be filed in the various returns and making sure that there are zero mistakes.
  • Providing the data required for assessments for all the notices issued.
  • Maintaining the soft and hard copies of all the submissions made against the notices.
  • Following up with the external parties for the rectifying the mismatches in the GSTR 2B, TDS receivable.
  • Providing information to the Management regarding the defaulters for GST, TDS, Receivables, and Payables etc., which may have a negative impact on the financial ability of the organisation.
  • Providing any opinion on the tax structure to be followed and reporting any variations which are detrimental the organisation.
  • Providing data as required to prepare RERA Certificates to the CAs. Submitting the certificates to the RERA team for updation.

C. MIS

Preparing MIS report as per managements requirement.

Any other work which may delegated by the management.

D. ROC Compliance

Filing of all the necessary forms with ROC for the group.

Checking Board Resolutions.

Making sure that the records as required by ROC are properly kept.

E. Managing Team

  • Leading and supervising the accounts and taxation team to ensure timely and accurate completion of all financial and compliance activities.
  • Allocating responsibilities, guiding team members, and monitoring their performance for all routine and project-based tasks.
  • Providing ongoing training, support, and mentorship to enhance the teams technical knowledge, efficiency, and understanding of process SOPs.
  • Facilitating effective communication and collaboration within the team and with other business functions to ensure smooth workflow and information sharing.
  • Overseeing the teams coordination with external consultants such as Cost Accountant, Statutory Auditor, Tax Auditor, and Company Secretary, and ensuring timely and accurate provision of data to these consultants.
  • Reviewing and guiding the preparation of project-wise actual cost data for the finance department to prepare CMA data for projects.
  • Supervising the preparation of data for obtaining cost certificates for construction finance, and ensuring proper documentation and controls.
  • Monitoring the implementation and adherence to established SOPs for accounts and taxation functions, and recommending improvements where necessary.
  • Keeping management informed of probable issues in accounting and highlighting their potential financial impacts, with actionable recommendations
