Sr. Accountant

You will be responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports at Naxose Retail Pvt Ltd. Your tasks will include maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts to ensure accurate posting of transactions. Monitoring inventory levels, stock movement, and cost of goods sold (COGS) will also be part of your duties. Additionally, you will reconcile bank statements, manage cash flow, and assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Supporting internal and external audits and implementing audit recommendations will be essential. You will analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making. Ensuring adherence to accounting policies in store-level financial activities and supervising junior accountants and accounting assistants will also be under your purview. To qualify for this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or equivalent is an advantage). A minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, preferably in the retail or supermarket industry, is required. Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle is essential. You should have a strong understanding of retail inventory and cost accounting, knowledge of local financial regulations and tax laws, and excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. The ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and supervise a team is crucial.
