Speech Therapist

As a Speech Therapist at Spark Rehabilitation Centre in Kollad, Kottayam, your role will involve assessing, diagnosing, screening, and preventing language, speech, and swallowing disorders in both children and adults. You will be responsible for communicating with patients, as well as liaising with their family members, physicians, and teachers to develop effective treatment plans. It will also be part of your job to educate patients and families about speech disorders and available therapies, while maintaining detailed notes on patient history and progress. In addition, you will provide mentoring and workshops to speech therapy students and evaluate patient progress to make necessary changes to therapy programs. Key Responsibilities: - Assess, diagnose, screen, and prevent language, speech, and swallowing disorders - Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and teachers - Educate patients and families on speech disorders and available therapies - Maintain detailed notes on patient history and progress - Provide mentoring and workshops to speech therapy students - Evaluate patient progress and adjust therapy programs as needed Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's / Master's degree in speech therapy or speech-language pathology - Relevant license and certification (preferred) - Experience with certain disorders and age groups between 2-8 years will be an advantage - Sound understanding of speech-related disorders and treatments - Excellent relationship-building skills - Resourcefulness and strong problem-solving abilities - Willingness to conduct research In addition, the job may require working with patients of all ages, therefore, having the ability to adapt your communication and treatment strategies accordingly will be crucial for success in this role.,
