Specialist - Power BI Developer

Job Purpose

• The primary purpose of a job that involves

  Power BI and SQL

  is to transform raw data into actionable insights that support business decision-making. This is achieved through data extraction, transformation, visualization, and analysis
• You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to drive business decisions. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical thinking, and effective communication skills.

• At least 4 years of experience in a similar role

Key Responsibilities

• The BI Specialist would be part of the Business Intelligence Team
• They would be writing SQL queries to extract the data from relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Amazon Redshift, PostgreSQL).
• Performing

  ETL (Extract, Transform, Load)

  operations to clean, transform, and prepare data and Optimizing

  query performance

  and handling large datasets efficiently.
• Creating

  interactive dashboards

  and

  reports

  in Power BI
• Building

  DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) formulas

  for complex calculations and metrics
• Designing

  data models

  , relationships, and hierarchies for effective analysis
• Implementing

  row-level security (RLS)

  and access controls
• Understanding business requirements and translating them into

  data-driven solutions

  .
