Job Description

As an Environmental Regulations Specialist, you will be responsible for: - Implementing Li-ion battery recycling and developing efficiency improvements through various sources - Exploring secondary life utilization of EOL batteries and methods to reduce carbon footprint - Managing and controlling Substance of Concern (SOC) through the IMDS platform - Performing RRR & SOC Calculations for vehicles as per standards - Monitoring and circulating information related to upcoming Environmental Regulations - Providing awareness and training to suppliers and internal teams for SOC Management In terms of competencies and skills, you should be: - Well versed with regulations related to Battery Waste Management, Automotive Indian standards, EU ELV guidelines for material recycling and hazardous substance control - Have basic knowledge of Raw Materials specific to automobiles - Proficient in MS Office operations, especially MS Excel and PowerPoint - Possess basic technical know-how on material standards related to lab testing - Have good communication skills and the ability to handle challenging situations - Maintain an openness and positive attitude Specific Expertise for the Functional area includes: - Experience in the Automobile or related Industry, manufacturing, or Research Institute/Lab - Experience in testing substances of concern such as heavy metals and POPs - Preferable experience in LCA calculation models and tools - Preferable working experience with analytical equipment like XRD, ICP, ED-XRF, optical microscope, GCMS/HPLC/LCMS, and result interpretation.,
