Job Description

As a Mechanical Engineer at Pentair, you will be a key member of the Innovation team, bringing your expertise and innovative mindset to the development of new-to-world technologies and mechanical systems. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading the conceptualization, design, and development of cutting-edge technologies and mechanical systems. - Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of innovative solutions. - Performing detailed mechanical analysis and simulations to evaluate new designs. - Developing and executing testing protocols to validate designs. - Exploring and applying cutting-edge materials, manufacturing processes, and technologies. - Monitoring industry trends and competitor activities to inspire innovation. - Creating intellectual property, including patents and proprietary technologies. - Providing technical leadership within the team. Qualifications for this role include: - A Master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. - Minimum of 6 years of experience in system design and development. - Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and manufacturing processes. - Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor) and interpretation of simulations. - Strong analytical and project management skills. - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. - Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills. - Expertise in MS Excel for data analysis. This position may involve less than 10% domestic and/or international travel.
