Specialist - Accounts Payable

As a Finance Analyst at IHG Hotels & Resorts, your primary role will involve supporting all customer and business queries while demonstrating a good understanding of key policies affecting the process. You should possess a sound knowledge of the processes and actively participate in team and process-related projects and initiatives. Your responsibilities will include uploading bank reconciliation in ARM and ensuring the timely clearance of open items, as well as mentoring and coaching new team members at the analyst level. Additionally, you will be required to support seamless audit and compliance process activities in accordance with SOX compliance standards. It will be essential for you to maintain suppliers" data in Psoft accurately and timely, along with ensuring the periodic update and cleanliness of the suppliers" database to meet process expectations. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's (B.Com) or Master's degree in Finance or Accounting, coupled with at least 3 years of relevant work experience in accounting, including proficiency in journal entries. Technical skills and knowledge required for this position include a good understanding of systems and applications used in accounting functions, such as PeopleSoft, and familiarity with MS Office and ERP exposure. Strong communication skills are a must for this role, as you will be expected to possess good communication abilities. Flexibility is key, as you should be willing to work in multiple shifts and collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
