Specialist - ABAP

POSITION DESCRIPTION

• Develop, test, and implement high-quality ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms.
• Collaborate with functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
• Design and implement custom solutions using ABAP in SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, providing support and maintenance for existing applications.
• Optimize performance of ABAP programs and enhance system efficiency.
• Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and trends, applying them to improve development processes.
• Document technical designs, specifications, and procedures.

Qualifications:

• 8-10 years of hands-on experience in ABAP programming, with a strong background in SAP ECC and S/4HANA.
• Should be able to work as single point of contact for all ALE / Idocs related requirement across the geographics.
• Activation and configuration of ALE / Idocs.
• Creation / Maintenance of custom Idocs to meet the business requirement.
• Custom segment addition to standard Idocs / XML.
• Change Pointers.
• Port configuration.
• Partner Profile Configuration.
• RFC connection Configuration.
• SOAMANAGER Configuration.
• Idocs Failure root cause analysis and solution to avoid any future instance.
• Debugging and Troubleshooting of Issues/Bugs.
• Should have good understanding on to integrate with CPI.
• Good Understanding and Hands On other Integration methodology like SOAP, SFTP, API calls.
• Should be able to understand the business need and cultivate the same to technical design.
• Apart from above he or she should have good understanding on BADI, User Exists, Customer exists and other ABAP areas like smart forms, DDIC, BAPI etc.
• Experience with ABAP Objects, ALV reporting, BAPI, BADI, user exits, and enhancement frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of SAP workflow, IDocs, and SAPscript/SmartForms/Adobe Forms.
• Experience with Web Dynpro, Fiori, and SAPUI5 is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment .
• BE in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. SAP certification is a plus.

Preferred Qualification:

• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Knowledge of SAP HANA and CDS views.
• Familiarity with SAP integration technologies such as PI/PO, OData, and REST APIs.
• Understanding of SAP Security concepts and authorizations.
