Role Description:

The Special Educator will be responsible for providing individualized instruction and support to students with learning disabilities, behavioral challenges, developmental delays, or other special needs. The role involves designing and implementing educational programs tailored to each student's abilities, working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure inclusive and effective education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ skills and learning requirements through observation, formal assessments, and collaboration with other educators.

• Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, teachers, and specialists.

• Provide direct instruction to students using specialized teaching techniques and materials.

• Modify general education curriculum to meet the needs of students with disabilities.

• Monitor student progress and update IEPs regularly.

• Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices in the classroom.

• Communicate with parents or guardians about student progress and development.

• Conduct behavior management strategies and interventions when necessary.

• Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions.

• Stay updated on current educational techniques and legal requirements regarding special education.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field.

• Valid teaching certification with specialization in special education (as per local/state requirements).

• Experience working with children with diverse learning needs is preferred.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping children grow and succeed.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and other developmental disorders.

• Ability to maintain records and prepare detailed reports.

• Familiarity with inclusive education strategies and classroom integration techniques.

Salary Offer: 25k -30k
