Job Description : Parts Manager Location : Hosur. Summary: The Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing the parts department operations, including inventory management, parts sales, and customer service. This role ensures efficient and effective parts supply to meet the needs of the service department and customers. Key Responsibilities: Inventory Management: Analyze sales data, forecasts, and market trends to determine appropriate inventory levels for all parts categories. Develop and implement inventory control strategies to maintain optimal stock levels, minimizing overstock and back-order situations. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and negotiate favorable pricing and terms. Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain accurate records and identify discrepancies. Parts Sales and Customer Service: Lead and motivate the parts department team to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service. Train and develop team members on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service best practices. Respond promptly to customer inquiries, complaints, and special orders, ensuring customer satisfaction. Collaborate with the service department to ensure timely parts availability for repair and maintenance jobs. Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance customer experience. Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the parts department, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and compliance regulations. Develop and implement efficient processes for parts receiving, stocking, and distribution. Manage the parts department budget, controlling expenses and maximizing profitability. Ensure proper maintenance and organization of the parts storage areas, equipment, and facilities. Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and service, to align operations and support overall dealership objectives. Reporting and Administration: Prepare and present regular reports on parts sales, inventory levels, customer satisfaction, and operational metrics to senior management. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of parts transactions, inventory levels, and vendor/supplier information. Stay current with industry trends, new product launches, and updates related to parts and accessories.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy vehicle procurement, spares and consumables purchasing, inventory management, and dealer/vendor development. The role involves strategic sourcing, cost optimization, supplier relationship management, and ensuring the availability of quality parts to support operational needs. Key Responsibilities: Develop nd implement procurement strategies for fleet and automotive spare parts and consumables to ensure cost efficiency and timely availability. Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with reliable dealers and vendors to a secure competitive prices and quality supplies. Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including purchase planning, requisition, negotiation, and order placement. Monitor inventory levels, forecast spare parts requirements, and coordinate with inventory teams to prevent stockouts and excess inventory. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. A relevant masters degree is a plus. Minimum of 8-15 years of experience in procurement, specifically in heavy vehicles, fleet management, or automotive spare parts. Strong knowledge of automotive spare parts, consumables, and inventory management. Proven experience in dealer and vendor development and relationship management. Familiarity with procurement software and inventory management systems. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze market trends and make strategic purchasing decisions. Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
