Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced South Indian Cook to join our team at deva ji enterprises . The ideal candidate will be passionate about authentic South Indian food, have expertise in preparing traditional dishes, and maintain high standards of hygiene and kitchen operations. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook a variety of South Indian dishes including dosa, idle, Vada, sambar, chutneys, upma, Pongal, and more. Ensure timely and consistent food preparation and presentation. Manage kitchen inventory and ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area. Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times. Coordinate with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff for smooth service. Innovate and suggest new dishes or improvements to the existing menu. Requirements: Proven experience as a South Indian cook in a café, restaurant, or hotel. Strong knowledge of traditional South Indian ingredients and cooking techniques. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent time management and multitasking skills. Basic knowledge of kitchen safety and hygiene protocols. Ability to work early mornings, weekends, or flexible hours as needed. Preferred Qualifications: Culinary certification or diploma (optional but preferred). Experience with commercial kitchen equipment like dosa tawa, steamers, etc. Knowledge of other regional cuisines is a plus.
