Responsibilities

  • Support the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to meet quality standards.
  • Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance and mentorship to foster teamwork and efficiency.
  • Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control across all menu items.
  • Manage inventory control and food handling procedures to minimize waste and maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Assist with menu planning, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences while maintaining operational feasibility.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards to uphold the highest levels of hygiene.
  • Coordinate with catering and banquet teams to deliver seamless service for large events and special functions.
  • Lead by example in promoting a positive kitchen culture centered on teamwork, professionalism, and hospitality excellence.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in fine dining establishments with a strong background in food production and kitchen management.
  • Demonstrated supervising experience with the ability to lead diverse culinary teams effectively.
  • Extensive banquet experience and familiarity with catering operations are highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of dietary requirements, food safety standards, and inventory management practices.
  • Skilled in menu planning, food preparation, and food service management within a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and manage shift operations efficiently.
  • Well-versed in culinary techniques across various cuisines, with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
