We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef in Ireland/Malta. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a desire to create exceptional dining experiences. As a Sous Chef, you will play a key role in supporting the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in the management of the kitchen and food preparation processes.
Prepare high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's standards and recipes.
Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure efficiency and proper food handling techniques.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and sanitized.
Manage inventory and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Skills and Qualifications

Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a professional kitchen.
3-12 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant.
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Proficient in various cooking techniques and cuisines.
Ability to lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Strong time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
