Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

Drive strategic sourcing initiatives by analyzing industry trends, supplier capabilities, and regulatory issues.
Expand and strengthen the India supplier base within the broader Asia network.
Identify, assess, and qualify suppliers through visits, audits, and cross-functional collaboration.
Lead supplier negotiations, cost analysis, and contract execution to ensure optimal pricing and terms.
Ensure suppliers meet quality, cost, and delivery targets; promote continuous improvement.
Manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring regular updates to internal stakeholders.
Coordinate with the China sourcing team for resource optimization and organizational development.
Oversee procurement of raw materials and services in line with production needs and budgets.
Define preferred supplier criteria; promote strategic and local sourcing alignment.
Develop supplier improvement programs and maintain performance metrics.
Implement crisis management and contingency plans for sourcing risks.
Support digital procurement systems and ensure process efficiency.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Supply Chain certification preferred.
10-15 years of purchasing and sourcing experience, including managerial roles.
Strong analytical, cost accounting, and technical skills.
Proficient in MS Office and digital procurement tools.
Familiar with ISO 9000, IATF16949, and quality systems.
Strong communication, negotiation, and coordination abilities.
Ability to read technical drawings and evaluate mechanical parts.
Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
Familiarity with lean principles and continuous improvement practices.
