Sourcing Excellence Manager

Role Overview: As a Sourcing Excellence Manager at Stanley Black & Decker, you will be a crucial part of the Global Supplier Management (GSM) Center of Excellence team. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the readiness of the supply base to support the corporate growth targets. This will involve collaborating with Lead & Regional Category Managers and Purchasing Agents to implement the New Way of Working. You will play a key role in managing supplier segmentation, conducting business reviews, and unlocking supplier capability and innovation on a global scale. Key Responsibilities: - Implement strategic supplier management practices to minimize supplier risk and enable supplier segmentation and strategy as part of the Global Supply Managements Center of Excellence. - Execute processes and tools to measure suppliers in support of SBD growth initiatives. - Manage strategy creation for key suppliers in coordination with category managers to ensure supplier capacity, capability, value, and quality. - Structure Supplier Management initiatives, including Business Reviews, Supplier Surveys, and Supplier Conferences. - Drive resolution to any ongoing constraints to growth plans by collaborating with the strategic sourcing team and suppliers. - Promote the usage of the Global Supplier Portal among strategic and collaborative suppliers. Qualifications Required: - A Bachelors degree is required. - 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain or Purchasing. - Functional experience in sourcing/procurement, with a balance of both strategic and operational capacities, including global sourcing, supplier management, and commodity risk management. - Strong program, transformation, and supply chain management skills. - Global mindset with experience working in an international/multi-cultural matrix environment. - Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Project Management. - Willingness to travel approximately 10-15%.
