Sourcing/ Buyer Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and manage suppliers in the open market (independent distributors, brokers, traders).
• Source hard-to-find, obsolete, shortage, and excess inventory components.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Validate supplier credibility and implement anti-counterfeit checks (X-ray, electrical tests, C of C, traceability).
• Respond to RFQs from clients with speed and accuracy.
• Work closely with sales and procurement teams to support urgent requirements.
• Track market trends, shortages, and pricing opportunities.

• Required Skills & Experience:

·       5+ years in open market / independent distribution sourcing.

·       Network of suppliers across Asia (HK, Shenzhen, Singapore), US, EU, Middle East.

·       Knowledge of platforms like BrokerBin, NetComponents, FindChips, Octopart.

·       Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.

·       Understanding of counterfeit risk, component testing, and quality assurance standards (AS6081, ISO).

·       Ability to work under pressure with urgent timelines.
