As a Solutions Architect at Barclays, your role will involve supporting the successful delivery of Location Strategy projects by planning, budgeting, and ensuring agreed quality and governance standards. You will be at the forefront of driving innovation and excellence in the evolution of the digital landscape, using cutting-edge technology to enhance our digital offerings and provide unparalleled customer experiences. Key Responsibilities: - Have mid/advanced level knowledge of Data management and protection in regulated environments. - Proficient in AWS Cloud platform, including understanding of AWS services, pricing models, and best practices. - Possess broad technical experience in data preparation, warehousing, and presentation to consumers, with knowledge of data lakes and access mechanisms. - Apply an architectural lens over data modelling to ensure data structures designed meet typical NFRs. - Demonstrate evidence of a technical leadership role and experience in design leadership. - Have a broad understanding of the technology landscape including client-server, API, event-driven, sync vs async, orchestration vs choreography, authentication, and security principles of least privilege. Qualifications Required: - Deep understanding of data domain structure segmentation and associated benefits to stakeholder parties. - Ability to communicate the vision and benefits of data products to both technical and business stakeholders. - Experience with scaled agile knowledge/experience and architecture certifications like TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architecture. - Banking domain knowledge with a data engineering/architecture background. In this role, you will design, develop, and improve software utilizing various engineering methodologies to provide business, platform, and technology capabilities for customers and colleagues. Your accountabilities will include developing and delivering high-quality software solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, promoting a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing, staying informed of industry technology trends, and adhering to secure coding practices.
