Role Overview: Microsoft Industry Solutions Delivery (ISD) is a global organization with a diverse team of over 6,000 strategic sellers, industry and security experts, engineers, data scientists, architects, consultants, and delivery specialists. Together with partners, the team assists Microsoft's most strategic customers worldwide in addressing their unique challenges by providing comprehensive and industry-specific solutions. Key Responsibilities: - **People Management:** - Deliver success through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and caring. - Model the organization's culture, embody its values, and practice leadership principles. - Coach the team to define objectives, enable success, and assist in adapting and learning. - Care for attracting and retaining talent, understanding individual capabilities, and investing in growth. - **Understanding Customer/Partner Technical Environment:** - Provide support in gathering and sharing customer/partner insights to shape project execution. - Collaborate with stakeholders to map architecture and digital solutions to business outcomes. - Drive internal advocacy by sharing insights with Product Engineering teams and aligning with customer feedback. - **Architecture Design and Deployment:** - Ensure teams leverage existing architecture approaches to meet commitments and develop scalable solutions. - Guide in defining and documenting architecture, communicating value propositions, and guiding cost-based discussions. - Collaborate with other managers to govern project/technical design, build, and deployment. - **Practice Development:** - Generate new intellectual property, drive re-use of IP, and contribute to internal/external communities. - Identify gaps and needs in the organization and industry, recommending best practices in pre-sales and delivery. - **Trusted Advisor:** - Develop relationships with senior-level decision-makers, act as an advisor, and provide guidance on Microsoft technologies. - Coach team to articulate complex concepts, challenge decisions, and anticipate and manage conflicts. - **Thought Leadership:** - Foster community sharing, drive external events, mentor colleagues, and act as an industry-leading expert. - Lead external architect community events, educate on technical concepts, and drive recognition for Microsoft solutions. Qualification Required: **Required/Minimum Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years' experience in technology solutions. - Master's Degree in relevant field AND 10+ years experience. - OR equivalent experience. **Additional Or Preferred Qualifications:** - Bachelor's/Master's Degree in relevant field AND 15+/12+ years experience. - 8+ years technical sales experience. - 8+ years project management experience. - 4+ years managing complex projects/portfolios. - 2+ years leading multidisciplinary teams. - 5+ years people management experience. - Technical or Professional Certification in relevant domain (e.g., Security).
