Job Description

Microservices development using Java Spring Boot framework and other API enhancements on the middleware platforms for the assigned region.
Demonstrate strong capabilities in assessing business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance to emerging technology standards
Execute success through diligent planning, attention to detail, effective delegation, and efficient decision-making
Interface and collaborate with other engineers in geographically distributed development centers
Strong emphasis on customer journey, product quality, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and continuous development
Develop technical & domain expertise and apply in solving product challenges
Thorough code reviews
Estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and roll out applications with cross-functional and cross-regional impacts
Share engineering support and release
Be a culture champion on the team and across the company

Role Requirements

8+ Strong hands-on experience building applications using Java, Spring Boot framework, Couchbase, Postgres DB or similar databases, Multithreading, serialization, Externalization, Collections, etc.
Ability to lead technology projects and mentor junior associates
Expertise with Java and Spring Boot technologies, JDBC, ORM, Gitlab, DevOps tools, Kafka , Postgres SQL, Couchbase
Have 2-3 years of Cloud Technologies work experience , AWS certification is plus
Expertise with APIs, REST/JSON, Microservices, XML, XSLT, etc
Experience with Open API Specification (OAS) (Swagger).
Someone with a proven track record of writing high quality, efficient code to build new microservices that orchestrate various system functionalities
Experience solving functional product needs by effectively leveraging open-source technologies
Experience with agile development methodologies with Test Driven Development (TDD) and CI (Continuous Integration)/CD (Continuous Delivery)
Proven ability to understand the business and ability to contribute to technology direction that drives measurable business improvements.
Experience with unit testing and mocking frameworks
Ability to evaluate business needs and achieve alignment among stakeholders.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for managing both direct and indirect talent effectively.
Strong technical skills in architecture patterns, solutions design & development.
Excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, design patters, algorithms, OOPs, and OOA/D
Hands-on experience in designing and building microservices based architecture and platform developed and deployed at scale.
Ability to work in a fast paced, iterative development environment and adapt to changing business priorities and to thrive under pressure
Team player with strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
Excellent decision-making, communication, and collaboration skills.
Demonstrated capabilities in assessing business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance to emerging technology standards.

Technical areas of expertise

Expertise in Core JAVA (Java 11 or above)
Should have experience in designing medium to large scale application involving the below technologies
Experience in applying Design Patterns
J2EE concepts and APIS,
Expertise in REST API development
Have 2 years of Cloud Technologies work experience , AWS certification is plus
Should have knowledge in Microservices, DDD etc.
Frameworks like Spring, Spring boot etc. is required.
Exposure to containerization, Docker, API Gateways etc. is a plus.
Expertise on MAVEN, CI/CD e.g.: Jenkins etc. is required.
Should have experience in measuring and improving application performance.
Comfortable with a Scrum project management style.
Experience in monitoring tools like Dynatrace, ELK etc. is required
Database exposure Experience on either Oracle or NoSQL databases
