Role Overview

Seeking a PHP/AWS Solution Architect with 8+ years’ experience specializing in AWS deployment automation, EC2 containerization, and cloud best practices. You’ll design infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions, optimize containerized workloads, and enforce CI/CD excellence across PHP ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

- Architecture & Deployment:

- Design containerized PHP solutions on AWS (ECS/EKS, Fargate) using Docker.

- Implement automated deployment pipelines for EC2 instances (Blue/Green, Canary).

- Manage IaC for environments (Terraform/CloudFormation/CDK).

- Cloud Optimization:

- Scale container orchestration (ECS/EKS) with auto-scaling groups, load balancing, and service mesh.

- Optimize EC2 deployments (spot instances, AMI management, cost monitoring).

- DevOps & Security:

- Enforce deployment best practices (immutable infrastructure, zero-downtime releases).

- Secure containers (IAM roles, ECR scanning, secrets management).

- Leadership & Standards:

- Define cloud governance frameworks (tagging, compliance, backup strategies).

- Mentor teams on AWS Well-Architected principles.

Required Qualifications

- Core Experience:

- 8+ years PHP (Laravel/Symfony) + 3+ years AWS architecture.

- Proven AWS deployment expertise: EC2 (Auto Scaling, Load Balancing), ECS/EKS, Fargate.

- Containerization: Docker, ECR, and orchestration tools.

- Technical Skills:

- Deployment Automation: CI/CD (CodePipeline/Jenkins/GitHub Actions), IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation).

- AWS Services: VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, Systems Manager.

- Databases: RDS/MySQL, DynamoDB, ElastiCache.

- Best Practices Knowledge:

- Deployment strategies (Blue/Green, Canary, Rolling).

- Infrastructure security (WAF, Security Groups, KMS).

Preferred Qualifications

- AWS Certifications: Solutions Architect Professional/DevOps Engineer.

- Container Security: ECR vulnerability scanning, AWS Shield.

- Observability: X-Ray, Prometheus/Grafana.

- Serverless PHP (Bref/Lambda).
