Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Sr. Solution Architect with expertise in Mainframe Modernization to join our team in Bangalore (Whitefield), Chennai (Siruseri), Pune (Talawade), or Mumbai (Airoli (West)). The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience as a Mainframe Modernization Solution Architect or similar role.

Roles and Responsibility

Lead architecture and design activities in legacy modernization projects, including IT Re-architecture, Business Re-architecture, Re-hosting, Re-engineering, Re-platforming, and Business Rules Extraction.
Design and troubleshoot complex system architectures using strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Develop and maintain technical documentation for mainframe modernization projects.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members on mainframe technologies and best practices.
Ensure compliance with security and compliance requirements in software systems.

Job Requirements

Proven experience as a Mainframe Modernization Solution Architect or similar role.
Strong knowledge of mainframe technologies such as COBOL, Assembler, PL/1, JCL, VSAM, CICS, DB2, RPG, CL, DB2/400, etc.
Experience in on-mainframe modernization and rehost solutions like Raincode, Micro Focus, and TmaxSoft.
Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS/Azure/Google.
Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies and best practices.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
Certifications such as AWS BluAge L3 and AWS certified solutions architect (Associate or Professional) are a plus.
Mainframe modernization certifications like IBM Watsonx Code Assistant for Z are also desirable.
