The Opportunity We are seeking a seasoned Solution Architect who will lead the strategy, architecture, and delivery excellence of Innovapptive s field mobility and connected worker product portfolio. This role combines deep problem solving capability. technical architecture leadership. and customer-facing stakeholder management. The Architect will own the mobility platform strategy across Asset Management, Work Execution, Field Service, and Maintenance workflows. This includes driving product evolution, ensuring enterprise-grade scalability. and partnering with global customers to translate business pain points into field-ready digital solutions.
This is a hands-on technical architect who combines deep product knowledge with excellent customer engagement skills.
The ideal candidate will have strong program delivery skills, and a passion for driving measurable outcomes in terms of delivering Reliability, Scalability & Time-to-value for customers with our product.
How You Will Make An Impact. 1. Customer & Solution Engagement - Serve as a senior technical leader for strategic customers, shaping end-to-end field mobility transformation programs.
- Engage directly with CIOs, enterprise architects, product teams, and field operations leadership to understand pain points and craft scalable solutions. (requirements capture, solution walkthroughs, integration design sessions).
- Lead requirement engineering, functional design, and E2E business process modeling for field mobility scenarios.
- Translate business and technical requirements into formal artifacts: Application Design Documents (ADD) and integration specifications.
- Drive architecture reviews, proof-of-concepts, and design signoffs with customer technical and IT stakeholders.
- Own the technical relationship during pre-sales, implementation, and operational handover phases.
- Present technical proposals, RFP responses, and product roadmap briefings to CXOs. consistent with the candidate s pre-sales and post-sales leadership experience across global transformation programs.
2. Product and Integration Architecture - Architect secure, high-performance integrations between Innovapptive products and enterprise systems (SAP ECC/S/4, IBM Maximo, Oracle EAM/ERP, GIS, MES, historians, identity providers) and enterprise authentication systems.
- Define API contracts, authentication models, message flows, error handling, and data mapping for synchronous and asynchronous integrations (REST, SOAP, OData, IDocs, MQ).
- Architect reliable offline sync, conflict resolution, and mobile data strategies for constrained/edge environments with notifications. workflow orchestration. mobility UX patterns. and transactional reliability.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to evolve product hooks, extension points, connector frameworks, and industry OOTB packages.
3. Delivery & Governance - Ensure technical deliverables meet Innovapptive s Value360 standards and quality gates.
- Participate in change control, deployment reviews, and performance tuning during system rollouts.
- Setting up best practices and managing the larger customer aligning with their processes
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
- Own requirement traceability. integration strategy. and domain-driven design principles across customer deployments.
- Oversee migration strategies, enterprise integration, and complex multi-system landscapes drawing from prior experience leading multi-country transformations, roll outs and migrations.
4. Cross-Functional Leadership - Guide engineering managers, solution architects, product managers, and field consultants to deliver high-quality implementations for Fortune 500 clients.
- Drive alignment between product vision and engineering execution. ensuring consistent delivery practices and architecture conformance.
- Define the architecture vision and long-term evolution of Innovapptive s Field Mobility and Connected Worker products, with emphasis on reliability, offline-first mobility, SaaS scalability, and secure integrations.
- Establish platform governance. architectural roadmaps. and tech stack recommendations. leveraging cloud-native and microservice patterns aligned with enterprise customers expectations.
- Lead build vs buy decisions, architectural constraints, and technology evaluations.
- Champion innovation through POCs, MVPs, and rapid prototyping.
What You Bring to the Team - 10+ years experience of Architecture leadership experience across enterprise mobility architecture, integration, or Solution architect roles (SaaS product + services experience preferred). Or Large-scale digital transformation programs.
- Proven track record of customer-facing roles: running technical workshops, translating requirements, delivering architecture artifacts and guiding implementations.
- Strong expertise in cloud (AWS or Azure), microservices, API-led architecture, and enterprise security.
- Strong expertise in enterprise integration SAP (ECC/EHP/S4), IBM Maximo, Oracle integrations, REST/SOAP/OData, IDoc, RFC, message queues (MQ, Kafka), and middleware patterns.
- Deep understanding of field operations. EAM/CMMS domains and mobile-first architectures, offline sync engines, conflict resolution, and mobile storage strategies.
- Hands-on experience with reliability engineering: debugging app crashes, memory issues, sync conflicts, concurrency, and offline-first behaviours.
- Experience with observability tools (e.g., Sentry, Mix Panel , logging/ELK; Prometheus/Grafana; distributed tracing) and cloud monitoring.
- Familiarity with security, authentication, and authorization frameworks (i.e. OAuth2, SAML, LDAP, token management) and secure integration patterns.
- Strong scripting and diagnostic skills comfortable with investigating logs, reproducing defects, and proposing fix strategies.
- Excellent communication skills able to present technical concepts to business and technical stakeholders effectively.
- Experience leading multi-vendor implementation landscapes and complex integration programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Connected Worker platforms. Mobile workforce management. or industrial mobility ecosystems.
- TOGAF, AWS Architect, or equivalent certifications (aligned with candidate credentials).
- Background in designing large-scale enterprise-grade applications across telecom, energy, utilities, or manufacturing sectors.
- Prior experience in pre-sales. product architecture. and customer workshops at CXO level.
