Description
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with 10-15 years of expertise in the mortgage servicing industry and at least 5 years as a Business Analyst. The ideal candidate will have in-depth product knowledge of mortgage servicing platforms such as Sagent LoanServ or Black Knight MSP and a strong understanding of escrow, payments, default management, foreclosure, bankruptcy, loss mitigation, claims, real estate owned (REO), and regulatory compliance. The candidate will play a critical role in bridging business needs with technical solutions, collaborating with clients, stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver innovative and compliant solutions. Key Responsibilities Requirement Gathering & Analysis : Engage with clients to understand business requirements and expectations, translating them into detailed business designs aligned with the capabilities of mortgage servicing platforms (e.g., Sagent LoanServ, Black Knight MSP). Stakeholder Collaboration : Act as the primary point of contact for clients and business partners, facilitating discussions to clarify requirements and negotiate solutions that meet business objectives. Solution Design : Convert business requirements into functional specifications and design documents, ensuring alignment with product capabilities and regulatory requirements. Technical Collaboration : Partner with development teams to solution technical implementations, providing clarity on requirements and ensuring solutions meet business needs. Testing & Validation : Test and validate features developed by the technical team, ensuring they meet specified requirements and perform as expected in User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Implementation & Rollout : Support the rollout of new features during UAT and production phases, ensuring smooth deployment and minimal disruption. Client Training : Conduct training sessions for clients on new features and system enhancements, ensuring effective adoption and utilization. Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, and user guides. Change Management : Leverage experience in product migrations to guide transitions between mortgage servicing platforms, ensuring data integrity and operational continuity. Regulatory Compliance : Ensure all solutions and processes adhere to industry regulations and standards, including those related to escrow, payments, default management, foreclosure, bankruptcy, loss mitigation, claims, and REO. Qualifications Experience : 10-15 years of experience in the US mortgage servicing industry. Minimum of 5 years as a Business Analyst in mortgage servicing or related financial services. Proven experience with mortgage servicing platforms such as Sagent LoanServ, Black Knight MSP, or equivalent. Hands-on experience in product migrations and system implementations. Technical Skills : Deep knowledge of mortgage servicing processes, including escrow, payments, default management, foreclosure, bankruptcy, loss mitigation, claims, and REO. Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements in the mortgage servicing industry. Proficiency in creating business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and process flow diagrams. Soft Skills : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients, business partners, and technical teams. Strong negotiation skills to align stakeholder expectations with product capabilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex business challenges. Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMP) is a plus. Preferred Qualifications Experience with additional mortgage servicing platforms or related financial software. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in Agile environments. Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel) for reporting and validation purposes.
