Network Business- DDI & LB Solution ArchitectThe Chevron ENGINE - Network Business – DDI & LB Solution Architect for Network Product Line. The DDI & LB Solution Architect is responsible for consulting, designing, and deploying networking technologies and solutions for the entire enterprise and for business partners. As a team member, you will use your deep infrastructure experience and network knowledge to serve as subject matter expert and project consultant to improve or introduce network capabilities that drives business capabilities while protecting Chevron from external and internal threats. You will work closely with architects, business partners, managed service partners, vendors, cybersecurity, cross infrastructure, and digital platforms to solve difficult, rapidly changing technical challenges. Where new technologies are introduced, the Engineer will work closely with the Operations team to successfully transition.The DDI&LB Solution Architect is a key member of the Network Product Line responsible for supporting the entire Global Enterprise’s Domain Name Services, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocols, Internet Protocol Address Management Systems and Load Balancer Technologies, ensuring cost competitive, reliable, and secure operations of Chevron's Network environment globally while also enabling digital capabilities. A secondary area of ownership is F5 and network hardware level Certificates.Your primary responsibility is setting strategic direction, prioritization, and delivery excellence for the Network Product Lines; ensuring team members are delivering against priorities, technical debt elimination, product vision, roadmaps, developing solutions, CDAS, partnering with the PO’s, Enterprise Architecture and DevOps teams on BU features and capabilities.Other responsibilities include partnering and educating the Network Managed Service globally and partnering with the chapter leads to help shape the skills needed for both Business Network and the Industrial Network Products.
About The Position
Chevron ENGINE has an exciting opportunity for a Network Business – DDI & LB Solution Architect to join the Information Technology team. Reporting to the Infrastructure and Operations Manager, this role will be based in Chevron’s office in Bengaluru.Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, and work hours are aligned to business needs. Standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday to Friday. These may evolve based on operational or business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Windows-based DNS and DHCP servers, including Active Directory-integrated zones.
- Configure and manage DHCP scopes, failover relationships, and DNS forwarders on Microsoft platforms.
- Perform regular compliance and security tasks, including access reviews, password rotations, and configuration audits.
- Lead DNS/DHCP migrations and server upgrades (e.g., Windows Server 2019 → 2022).
- Implement and maintain DNS delegation, conditional forwarders, and root hints for optimized name resolution.
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity and Identity & Access Management (IAM) teams to enforce secure configurations and access controls.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation, reporting, and operational efficiency.
- Participate in incident response and troubleshooting for DNS/DHCP-related issues.
- Manage domain name registrations and interact with registrars for lifecycle operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator Associate or equivalent certification.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft DNS/DHCP in hybrid cloud environments (Azure DNS, Private DNS Zones).
- Proficiency with automation frameworks and configuration management tools.
- Experience designing and deploying F5 BIG-IP LTM and GTM for traffic management.
- Proven track record as a Solution Architect supporting DDI technologies.
- Familiarity with external DNS services such as Cisco Umbrella and Neustar UltraDNS.
- Expertise in managing domain name registrations and lifecycle processes.
- Experience implementing and managing IP Address Management (IPAM) solutions
