SolidWorks Designer – Modular Furniture

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SolidWorks Designer with experience in modular furniture design. The candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying 3D models, engineering drawings, and detailed assemblies for modular furniture systems using SolidWorks. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop modular furniture products using SolidWorks. Create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed part drawings with accuracy. Ensure designs meet functional, aesthetic, and manufacturing requirements. Modify existing designs to improve functionality or reduce costs. Work closely with production, procurement, and R&D teams to ensure designs are feasible for manufacturing and installation. · Participate in prototyping and testing: to refine designs and optimize performance. Maintain documentation and version control of design files. Requirements: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Furniture Design, or a related field. Proven experience in SolidWorks (minimum 2–3 years), especially in furniture or similar industries. Strong understanding of materials, hardware, and joinery techniques used in modular furniture. Ability to read and create manufacturing and assembly drawings. · A passion for design engineering and a desire to learn and grow. Preferred: Experience in the modular furniture industry (Home, office, or retail furniture). Familiarity with ERP-integrated design environments. Additional knowledge of AutoCAD or other design software is a plus. · Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. Show more Show less
