Solar Installer

We are looking for a skilled and hardworking Solar Installer to join our team at Skyline Infra Solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for the mechanical and electrical assembly of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on various roof types and ground mounts. You will work as part of a field crew to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards. Key Responsibilities Site Preparation: Assist in layout and framing of solar arrays according to engineering schematics. Mechanical Installation: Install racking systems, solar panels, and mounting hardware on residential or commercial rooftops and ground mounts. Electrical Wiring: Connect solar panels, inverters, and energy storage systems (batteries) strictly following electrical codes and safety standards. System Testing: Perform routine checks, testing, and commissioning of the system to ensure optimal performance. Maintenance: Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on existing solar systems (cleaning, wire management, inverter checks). Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and following fall-protection guidelines. Customer Interaction: maintain a professional demeanor when onsite and explain basic system operations to customers if required. Requirements & Qualifications Experience: Previous experience in solar installation, roofing, general construction, or electrical work is highly preferred. Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of PV systems, electrical wiring (DC/AC), and ability to read technical drawings/diagrams. Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy equipment (50+ lbs), climb ladders, and work at heights or in various weather conditions comfortably. Tools: Familiarity with power tools (drills, impact drivers, saws) and hand tools. Education: High school diploma or ITI/Diploma in Electrical (or equivalent). License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites. Preferred Skills (Bonus) Certification in Solar installation (e.g., Suryamitra or similar). Experience with specific inverter brands (e.g., Waaree, Havells, Growatt) or battery systems. Knowledge of earthing and lightning arrestor installation.
