Job Description

Role Overview: As a Software Tester, you will collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and QA leads to ensure the delivered products meet high standards of robustness, user-friendliness, and bug-free functionality. This opportunity is particularly suitable for individuals with prior testing experience or training who are now seeking to re-enter the workforce after a break. Key Responsibilities: - Review functional and design specifications to comprehend testing requirements - Write, maintain, and execute test cases/test scripts, both manually and/or automated - Conduct various types of testing such as functional, regression, integration, and usability testing - Identify, log, prioritize, and track defects/issues using defect management tools like JIRA or Bugzilla - Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to replicate issues and validate fixes - Validate bug fixes and ensure no regressions occur - Generate test reports, metrics, and documentation - Contribute to enhancing the QA process, including test planning, test automation, and CI/CD pipeline integrations - Occasionally participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide support during release deployments Required Skills / Qualifications: - 0 to 3 years of experience in software testing, which may include internships, training programs, or freelancing projects - Basic understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle) - Knowledge of manual testing techniques like boundary cases, equivalence partitioning, negative testing, etc. - Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about continuous learning - Exposure to at least one testing tool/framework (e.g., Selenium, Postman, Appium, Cypress) or familiarity with API testing is a plus - Possession of any testing/QA certification (e.g., ISTQB) is considered advantageous Preferred / Desirable (not mandatory): - Experience or exposure to automation scripts - Basic knowledge of scripting/programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java - Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc. - Previous experience in testing web/mobile applications or APIs Benefits: - Work from home Please Note: The job type for this position is Full-time, Permanent.
