Software Technical Lead

The Technical Lead plays a crucial role in providing technical expertise to independently identify and develop solutions for complex software engineering problems. Understanding the company's goals, practices, and product strategies is essential in order to effectively resolve a variety of issues. Creativity, sound technical knowledge, and judgment are key in recommending solutions for assignments related to new products, upgrades, enhancements, or fixes for existing products. One of the key responsibilities of the Technical Lead is to establish and implement standards for code review, quality, storage, access, and efficiency. Additionally, coaching and mentoring the team on software best practices such as design, coding, troubleshooting, work breakdown, and automated testing are vital aspects of the role. The Technical Lead should be capable of providing hands-on experience while guiding and eliminating technical impediments faced by a team of 3-4 developers. Furthermore, the Technical Lead must have a strong grasp of existing application architectures and be able to determine suitable solutions for the future. Effective communication skills, including group leadership and executive presentations, are crucial for success in this role. Collaborating with management and technical support colleagues, designing and updating software databases, and participating in requirement gathering, analysis, and design are also key responsibilities. In terms of candidate requirements, the ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in application or product development using .Net technologies such as C#, ASP.net, Entity framework, Web API, VB.net, and MSSQL. A BE/Graduate degree in Computer Science or a related software engineering field, or equivalent practical experience is required. With a minimum of 8 years of experience in IT and at least 5 years as a technical lead for ASP.NET applications, the candidate should also possess strong skills in MVC.net, SQL, JQuery, LINQ, and Entity framework. The Technical Lead should demonstrate proficiency in effectively communicating and collaborating with diverse teams, conveying complex technical concepts in a clear and approachable manner. Knowledge of API, Windows/web services, C#.net, HTML, XML, and OOA and OOD Concepts is essential. Experience with various technology systems, code builds, and developing business applications, as well as modern languages across the stack (e.g., React or Angular), are highly desirable. Moreover, the ideal candidate should exhibit an active coaching and mentoring approach towards team collaboration, improvement, and growth. A high level of energy, passion, and the ability to inspire teammates to achieve their maximum potential are qualities that are valued. Strong attention to detail, flexibility, and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities are also important attributes for success in this role.
