Software Quality Assurance Tester

As a skilled Quality Assurance/Software Testing Professional with over 5 years of hands-on experience in manual and automated testing, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and performance of applications. Your strong background in analytical projects and proficiency in SQL, along with experience in testing tools like Selenium, will be essential for this role. Your responsibilities will include developing and executing test plans and test cases based on requirements, managing and executing test scenarios including automated test scripts, and performing various types of testing such as Performance, Load, Regression, Integration, and Functional testing. You will be expected to identify test data, execute test cases, and report defects using tools like JIRA. Additionally, you will conduct database testing by writing and executing SQL queries to validate data in SQL Server/Oracle databases, ensuring data integrity, and troubleshooting issues. Monitoring and reporting bugs and issues with detailed documentation and effective communication to the team will also be part of your role. To be successful in this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or a related field, along with 5-8 years of QA experience, with at least 4 years in manual testing. Proficiency in RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle server, MySQL) and experience in testing standalone, web, backend systems, and database systems are required. Good experience with defect reporting processes and tools, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills to document and communicate test results and issues effectively, are essential. Experience with automation tools like Selenium or similar tools, as well as working experience in the manufacturing industry, would be a plus.
