Software Lead Test Architect

Role Overview: As a seasoned Software Test Architect, your primary responsibility will be to strategize and lead the development of Smart products at the company. You will establish and standardize automated test frameworks for various product categories, including inverters, fans, water heaters, pumps, stabilizers, modular switches, and software apps (Cloud, Web & Mobile). Your role will involve collaborating closely with design, engineering, and cross-functional teams to ensure high product quality throughout the product life cycle. Key Responsibilities: - Define and execute software test strategy and architecture for all product categories. - Drive an automation-first approach by utilizing a combination of tools and methods to enhance test coverage and execution efficiency. Develop modular, reusable test frameworks and standardize them. - Proactively participate in requirement analysis, test planning, test case development, and execution. Lead other team members towards achieving test excellence. - Establish and drive leading and lagging quality metrics with clear product category-wise dashboards. - Partner with the DevOps team to drive Shift Left, Cyber Security (SecOps), and Continuous Testing (CT) practices. Ensure seamless integration of the test process in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). - Work closely with the design and engineering teams to develop high-quality products. Support Agile Scrum / SAFe, DevOps practices across development teams and provide coaching and mentorship on Verification & Validation activities. - Continuously gather post-launch feedback and incorporate learnings into the test cycle. Qualifications & Skills: - Bachelor / Masters degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science related field. - Minimum of 15+ years of experience in Test Management, Test Strategy & Automation, Quality Metrics, Test execution, with a proven track record of launching quality consumer or industrial products. - Experience in automated and continuous testing in embedded systems and software applications. - Conversant with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), Continuous Testing (CT), Agile Scrum, and DevSecOps practices. - Expertise in creating a test strategy for nonfunctional (performance, ilities) and cyber security testing. - Exposure to Wireless protocols, Cloud Services, and related test methods will be advantageous. - Proficiency in test automation frameworks, tools (Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, Test Complete, etc.) with strong programming skills in Python, LabView, etc. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders. - A customer-centric approach, with the ability to understand and anticipate customer needs and market trends.,
