Description
As an Engineering Manager at Emburse, you will play a crucial role in leading high-performing teams to deliver innovative and interconnected system solutions. Your responsibilities will include: Key Responsibilities: - Lead a team of mobile developers in delivering stable and performant native apps, influencing mobile architecture decisions for Android and/or iOS. - Analyze mobile app requirements, assess technical feasibility, and prioritize trade-offs. - Coach and assess the performance of mobile engineering team members, fostering a collaborative team culture focused on user experience. - Provide mobile-specific technical guidance, break down blockers across delivery processes, and manage goal priorities set by senior management. - Familiarize with policies, procedures, and technical concepts related to mobile software engineering, including secure development practices, CI/CD pipelines, testing, and compliance. - Manage sprint goals and priorities, contribute to architecture and product direction, and prepare technical documentation. - Lead mobile engineering teams to deliver high-quality native applications on schedule, ensuring on-time delivery of features, refactors, and fixes. - Represent the mobile engineering team across the organization, collaborate with cross-functional peers, and align mobile efforts with Emburse's product vision and goals. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent years of experience. - Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in mobile application development and 2 years in engineering management roles. - Experience leading native Android and/or iOS engineering teams, exposure to Kotlin, Java, Swift, or Objective-C. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, app release management, and collaboration in an Agile environment. - Understanding of secure application programming practices, common design patterns, and ability to solve business problems creatively.
