Job Description

Role Description

Support hybrid database deployments across on-premises and cloud platforms (Azure SQL Database, Azure Managed Instance, AWS RDS, AWS Aurora, AWS Redshift).
Complete support of Database Infrastructure
Capable of handling User BAU tasks as well as Priority tickets and providing RCA.
Typical database administrative tasks include: monitoring, performance tuning, trouble-shooting, back-up and recovery, installations and configurations on as needed basis as well as applying patches and upgrades.
Responsible for managing Development, Test, QA and Production databases and implementing future enhancements to meet the business needs of the end users.
Monitor database health - availability, reliability, performance, capacity planning.
Planning and implementing different HA and DR mechanisms (Always on, clustering etc.)

Designing and Deployment of Reports for the End-User requests using SSRS.
Extensive experience in controlling theUser Privileges, Monitoring the Security andAuditissues as perStandards.
Experienced in programming tasks-Stored Procedures, Triggers, and Cursors

Should be comfortable for 24*7 shift.
Must have ITIL Knowledge.

Technical Skills

Good Understanding Database concepts and different versions of MS SQL.
Installation and configurations of MSSQL Always-on, clustering and other HA and DR mechanisms.
Good understanding of azure could for database services.
Installations and Configuring of SSIS/SSRS
Must be capable for handling user normal and critical issue.
Must have experience on PowerShell.
Should have good understanding of T-SQL.

Nice-to-have skills

Should have knowledge of monitoring tools
Should have good understanding of applications and database connectivity.
Must be proficient in Operating Systems such as Windows Server 2008/2012
Understand the concepts of Active Directory
Understand the concepts of Hypervisor VMware.
Working knowledge of ITIL processes like Incident / Change / Problem Management
Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
Strong conceptual and analytical skills
Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
Ability of adapt any new technical environment with minimal knowledge transfer efforts
