Role Overview

SDET (Automation)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for

  web and mobile web

  using

  Java, Selenium, and Appium

• Convert manual test cases into automated scripts for

  regression and functional testing

• Execute automated test suites, analyze failures, and debug issues
• Implement

  cross-browser

  and

  cross-platform

  test coverage
• Integrate automation with

  CI/CD pipelines

  (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.)
• Log, track, and report defects using tools like

  JIRA

• Collaborate with QA, product, and engineering teams to improve test strategies
• Maintain test data, environments, and automation assets

Must-Have Skills

• Strong programming experience in

  Java

• Hands-on expertise with

  Selenium

  (web) and

  Appium

  (mobile)
• Experience building automation frameworks using

  TestNG / JUnit / Cucumber

• Working knowledge of

  CI/CD pipelines

• Proficiency with

  Git

  and version control workflows
• Solid understanding of

  SDLC and Agile methodologies

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Good-to-Have

• Experience with

  BrowserStack, Sauce Labs

  , or similar cloud testing tools
• Mobile browser automation experience
• Exposure to performance or API testing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)

• 5+ years

  of hands-on experience in

  test automation
