Software Engineer in Test

Experience: 5-9 Years

Scripting & Automation:

1. Strong command of scripting languages like:

2. Python (preferred for automation and test frameworks)

3. PowerShell (for Windows-based automation)

4. Bash/Shell scripting (for Linux-based environments)

5. Experience writing automation scripts to validate integration points, simulate user scenarios, and extract logs/metrics.

6. Familiarity with task automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines).

Testing Competency

1. Strong understanding of testing concepts: unit, integration, system, smoke, sanity, and regression.

2. Hands-on experience in integration testing and end-to-end validation across modules or services.

3. Familiarity with validation KPIs and metrics (e.g., test coverage, response latency, error rate).
